This is my first time at Rivertown Grill. After my experience here, I learned that from the owner to the servers, they all want you to have a top-notch experience. We came when they were super busy and had some extra kitchen stuff happen that set them off of their game. Still, the bartender filled in for the server when they were super busy. The bartender took extra care with preparing our food since we explained that my husband was immunosuppressed. She went the extra mile to make him a drink that wasn't on the menu, and she knocked it out of the park! The food was delicious and there was a relaxed atmosphere. You do need to bring cash unless you want to pay more for your food using a credit card.
Beautiful quaint building, that keeps with the style of downtown and small-town. Pizza was amazing -hot and flavorful. Not overly busy as it sits on the edge of down town but still just a quick walk down to the river with the courthouse in view. Service and staff were more than helpful and very kind. Brought refills before we were empty, engaged in conversation not just taking orders Definitely a return to place.
Great food! Hand breaded chicken tenders and hand breaded coconut shrimp . The garlic sticks were authentic, fresh dough and perfectly cooked and seasoned. The dining area looks small, but the food is freshly prepared . The chicken tenders were huge. Madison Ribberfest visit and most restaurants on main street are great! Definitely stop at this one!
Popped in on a Sunday late afternoon. Whitefish basket was sensational! Light crispy coating tender & perectly cooked. Tons of giant tasty crinkle fries &, best tarter sauce ever. Wait staff was super attentive but not overly so. We'll come back again and again!

We came as a group of 7 after hiking at Clifty Falls. Our server Kennedy was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We all got the 1/2lb Angus steak burger, and it was absolutely delicious!
Despite the grill being temporarily down, this place exceeded expectations with their perfectly fried alternatives. The fish and shrimp meals were absolutely delicious - crispy on the outside and tender inside. The kitchen's ability to adapt and still deliver outstanding food, paired with great service, made for a wonderful dining experience. Definitely worth a visit!
My husband and I went here while on our two year anniversary trip and we LOVED it! Such a hidden gem in a small town. We ordered the fried pickles and then my husband got the bbq chicken pizza while I got the fried fish with fries. All the food was AMAZING! You can tell the ingredients are fresh. The pizza tasted delicious and the crust was super fluffy. The fish had the best batter on it and the fries were fluffy on the inside but crunchy on the outside - the perfect duo. If you’re considering this restaurant, I would highly recommend! (Also my husband ordered the small pizza but it was still pretty decently sized!)
